Ultimate Tech Quiz

As part of its commitment to advancing digital literacy and technology education among young learners, in February 2025 the Boma Prize for Africa implemented the Ultimate Tech Quiz (UTQ)Training in partnership with AlphaFinds Ghana.
Project Objectives;
* Strengthen students’ practical skills in word processing, spreadsheet applications and basic coding.
* Provide hands-on learning experiences that improve digital confidence and problem-solving abilities.
* Encourage collaboration, teamwork and peer learning among participating students.
* Connect learners and teachers with mentorship opportunities and practical guidance from technology professionals.

Project Outcomes;
* Increased awareness among students and teachers of the UTQ competition format, and expectations.
* Identified key digital literacy gaps affecting students’ readiness for technology-based competitions.
* Improved students’ exposure to practical computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet tools.
* Strengthened collaboration between schools in advancing digital skills development.
